HELLO!
i am back from penang! :D
haha.

went there only with my mum cos my dad was alr there a week ago to work.

8th June
My dad called us at ard 5.45 in the morning!!! &^@#*&@364 n he kept on calling n smsing us to ask if we've reached the airport n stuff. he said he was afraid im too lazy and would refuse to get out of bed. -.- we took a comfy SIA plane there. (:

when we reached there. first thing we did was to take brochures. so i took one alr and told my mum all of them are the same so she doesnt need to take another. but she JUST wanted to take a different one. after we left the departure hall, she realised the one she took had the same details just that it's in malay. -.- we didnt know where to go. (cos penang's actually not that exciting a place to go to) since we looked at the map n there were so many temples at Georgetown, we just asked the taxi driver to fetch us to any one. On the way there, we asked him the way to Penang hill, so he told us 'the place im fetching you to is walking distance to Komtar. nearby you take Rabbit bus to penang hill'. after thinking a while my mum actually made out that he was trying to say 'Rapid' (the company's name). while i was still excited about taking some bus called Rabbit. n she didnt even tell me until we reached the interchange! -.- and anw, the taxi driver's so called WALKING DISTANCE, is DAMN FAR. i think it's futher than walking from my house to whitesands!

when we reached penang hill at about 1 plus. they actually sold out most of the tickets. the next train ride was 5.15pm! so long!!! instead we went to this really huge temple called 'Kek Lok Si' (below).

The interesting thing about this temple is that there is this statue of Guan Yin that's A LOT taller than the building! you have to take an inclined lift up to take photos of her.

was really tired after going there. cos you have to climb a long flight of stairs up to the temple and down too. went to eat durians at some random shop along the street. it's cheap! one durian is only 6RM. havent ate durians in a long time!

after that we went to Prangin Mall to walk around a while before meeting daddy to go have dinner n all! :D

this kinda sums up my first day at Penang.
